DIY guide to Decorating your Magic Band

Magic Band 2.0 is here!

I don’t know about you guys, but I really enjoy personalizing my magic band.  There are so many different ways, that people much more creative than I have put into practice.  I wanted to share a few of those with you all.

Personally, my favorite way is with skins from Magic Your Band.  Right now, my kids and I are obsessed with Star Wars, and Magic Your Band has come out with some adorable skins for the various characters.  I ordered R2 – D2, Darth Vader, Stormtrooper, BB-8, and a pink version of R2- D2 for our next trip.  I also customized them to read “If lost, please call (my phone number)” for my children.  I outlined that process in this post, as an extra precaution for keeping my kids safe while in such a large theme park.   Magic Band skins are super easy, and require no additional creativity on my part to look cute and be different in the sea of multicolored bands in the parks.

Another great way to personalize your Magic Band is to glitterize it!  Who doesn’t love some good glitter?  Check out the Glitter Tutorial at Creative Green Living.

I love this next idea, especially for the Disney princess in your life.  Attaching simple, adhesive rhinestones from the craft store can make for some really stylish, and quite bling-y, Magic bands.

I don’t know why I never though to use fingernail polish before!  Though I am the farthest thing from an artist, I think even I could handle some polka dots and Mickey heads.

This last one is so simple, I’m sure even I can’t screw this up!  Temporary tattoos adhere very well to the Magic Band, and you or your little one can sport favorite characters on your wrist in a whole new way.

The previous three tutorials can be found with their original source material on The Delightful Life.

It should also be noted that the Disney store carries pre-decorated Magic Bands, as well as sliders and bandits to decorate your bands.  Personally, I love the pre-decorated ones, but I’m not a big fan of the sliders and bandits.  They seem bulky and slightly uncomfortable to me, but you may enjoy them!

Do you have any other great ideas for decorating your Magic Bands!  I love for mine to stand out in the crowd!
